, the artist who was responsible for all previous Cynic artworks. Venosa died shortly before the release of ''Carbon-Based Anatomy.'' Three of six tracks are short, ambient-oriented pieces ("Amidst the Coals", "Bija!", and "Hieroglyph"), and represent an unprecedented musical direction for Cynic.
